    Digital Desk: In his speech to the crowd, Modi declared, "We will no longer pay for electricity; instead, we will sell it and profit from it. Residents were previously provided with power by the government, but with the installation of solar panels, they will now be able to generate their own electricity.

    "Modhera, Mehsana, and the entire region of northern Gujarat have been imbued with a new impetus of growth. from water and power to roads and rail. Today, the first stones of numerous initiatives relating to dairy, skill development, and healthcare were placed, " added Modi.   

    The Gurajat Mehsana district is 25 kilometers away from Modhera village, and Gandhinagar, the state capital, is around 100 km away. The town includes a ground-mounted solar power plant, and over 1,300 homes have 1kW rooftop solar power systems installed to provide electricity.   

    The state allocated 12 hectares of land for the project, and both the federal and state governments contributed more than 80 crores in two phases. The Gujarati government had claimed that by making this change, residents of the hamlet could reduce their electricity costs by 60% to 100%. At the end of his three-day visit, he will dedicate a number of construction initiatives totaling more than 14,600 crores. By the end of this year, Gujarat's assembly elections, which are controlled by the Bharatiya Janata Party, are expected to take place.
