Digital Desk: The accused of the Pune bus rape case, Dattatray Ramdas Gade (37) was arrested by the Pune Police for allegedly raping a 26-year-old woman inside a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus at the Swargate bus depot, Pune. Ramdas, a resident of Gunat village, was arrested from a paddy field near the Shrirur Tehsil after 75 hours of manhunt on Friday.
A police officer said that Gade was brought to Pune and sent for a medical examination. He will be produced before the court on the same day.

Earlier, the Pune Police announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for the people who would give information about the rape case accused Dattatray Ramdas Gade. Police deployed sniffer dogs and drones to find the accused after the search team suspected that he might be hiding in a sugarcane field near his hometown.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the victim, a 26-year-old working woman, was waiting for a bus to go to Phaltan. During that time, the accused approached her claiming that the bus was parked in a different place. The woman followed him to a MSRTC bus where he sexually assaulted her.
