Digital Desk: During the Durga Puja festival, the Akhil Bharat
Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) placed an idol of the Mahishasura demon, who resembled
Mahatma Gandhi, at the feet of Goddess Durga. Protests erupted everywhere after
that. While this tragedy is still new, the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has
demanded that the image of Mahatma Gandhi be changed on currency notes with
that of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Netaji Subhash Chandra
Bose made an equal contribution to India's independence cause as Mahatma
Gandhi. As a result, the All India Hindu Mahasabha has demanded that the photo
of Mahatma Gandhi be replaced on banknotes with a photo of Subhash Chandra
Bose.
In a recent Durga
Puja, ABHM placed an idol depicting Mahatma Gandhi as the demon Mahishasura.
Following this, the above organization has requested that the image on currency
notes be changed. "We believe that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's
contribution to the country's freedom movement was equal to or greater than
Mahatma Gandhi's. As a result, the finest method to memorialize India's heroic
independence fighter, Netaji, is to have his image printed on bank notes. Instead
of Gandhi's photo, Netaji's photo should be used. Remove Gandhiji and replace
him with a photo of Netaji "In a news conference, ABHM state working
President Chandrachur Goswami requested.
Strange Demand
During Durga Puja, the entire country was in commotion over the strange demon idol placed at the Hindu Mahasabha mandap. Mahatma Gandhi's visage was
captured in the form of a demon there. Due to the activities of the state
administration, the entrepreneurs were afterward forced to renovate the statue
swiftly. Despite being obliged to cover the demon's face, the entrepreneurs did
not abandon their political stand. "We regard Gandhi to be the true
Asura," said Chandrachur Goswami, working president of the All India Hindu
Mahasabha's West Bengal section. He is a genuine demon. That is why the
statue was designed in that manner."
However, Trinamool and Congress are aggressively opposing
Hindutva organizations' allegations. The TMC camp said that the BJP and its
affiliates intended to sow discord across the country in this manner. Adhir
Ranjan Chowdhury, President of the Pradesh Congress, stated, "We all know
who was behind Gandhiji's killing. They are currently attempting to stomp on
Gandhi's beliefs and policies. The BJP and RSS must be held accountable for the
current demand that Gandhiji's image be removed from money."
