UP BJP to hoist the tricolor at every Muslim household, madrasas, and dargah as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign

The UP BJP intends to support its "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Independence by raising the tricolor in around 5 lakh Muslim homes, madrassas, and dargahs.

Digital Desk: From August 12, the Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Front will reach out to approximately five lakh Muslim families through the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign.

"The party intends to raise the national flag in at least 5 lakh Muslim households. During the campaign, we will also visit dargahs and madrasas. The exercise is being planned because the dargah has a large reach. People, primarily Muslims, become emotionally attached to dargahs and madrasas, "Basit Ali, president of the state BJP Minority Morcha, stated.

According to party sources, the "Pasmanda" (backward community among Muslims) will be given special attention during the campaign after Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of expanding the party's reach among them.

To give the party's nationalist campaign among minorities a boost, the party cadre will hoist the flag at madrassas and dargahs and have photos taken to be uploaded on social media platforms. The decision comes just two months after the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board made singing the national anthem mandatory before classes began.

The BJP made the recitation of the national anthem and flag hoisting on Independence Day mandatory in madrassas soon after taking power in 2017.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently urged BJP members to work for the advancement of Pasmanda Muslims. PM Modi has urged citizens to support the Har Ghar Tiranga movement.

Importantly, PM Modi appealed to 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to hoist 'Har Ghar Tiranga' from August 13 to 15, when the party hopes to cover over 4 crore houses and government offices in Uttar Pradesh with its ambitious 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.

On Tuesday, CM Yogi Adityanath flagged off the Tiranga Yatra, signaling the start of the 75th Independence Day celebrations.

On July 22, 2022, PM Modi launched the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to commemorate India's 75th year of independence.
