Digital Desk: Arunachal Pradesh experienced another significant natural disaster when a massive landslide struck on Saturday, causing disruption to the Pasighat-Pangin link road. The landslide, which was triggered by continuous rainfall, occurred near Babuk village in Siang district, blocking National Highway 13.

Reported early this morning, the landslide has halted traffic completely, leaving hundreds of vehicles, including critical services such as ambulances, stranded. Many passengers traveling along the route are also stranded.

Local reports indicate that soil continues to slip from the hill, complicating ongoing efforts by the Arunachal Pradesh administration to clear the road. Despite swift repair attempts, authorities are encountering difficulties due to the persistent erosion of soil from the hills.

The closure of the Pasighat-Pangin link road has severely affected transportation and daily commuting in the area. Authorities are urging travelers to exercise caution and patience as they work towards restoring normalcy.
