The combined forces carried out a targeted operation in the border hamlet of Paulpara in response to a particular tip-off, which resulted in the seizure of 270 bags of sugar, valued at Rs. 5,40,000 and totalling 13,500 kilogrammes.
The fact that the captured sugar packets were found purposefully thrown close to an abandoned home suggests a well-planned attempt at smuggling goods into Bangladesh.
