    Digital Desk: Following the destructive Cyclone Remal, Northeast India is confronting extensive devastation and casualties. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh utilized the microblogging platform X to draw attention to the severe conditions prevailing not only in his state but also in the surrounding areas.

    "Not only in my state, my neighboring sister states are also suffering due to Cyclone Remal," Chief Minister Singh posted.

    The cyclone has inflicted notably severe consequences in Assam, where over six lakh families have been impacted, resulting in reported casualties of 15 lives. In Mizoram, the toll exceeds 30 fatalities, leaving many families grappling with the aftermath. Similarly, in Manipur, nearly 1.5 lakh families have suffered adverse effects, with four reported casualties and one person still unaccounted for. The ramifications of the cyclone have extended to Meghalaya and Nagaland as well, where numerous individuals are encountering significant challenges.
