Manipur: Congress LS manifesto focuses to resolve the state crisis and heal the community dispute
Meghachandra stated that the manifesto called for several actions to be taken to resolve Manipur's crisis............

Digital desk: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Party (MPCC) unveiled the manifesto at Congress Bhawan today for the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha Election.

In highlighting the manifesto, MPCC President Keisham Meghachandra said that the Indian National Congress (INC) views the ongoing Manipur conflict as a serious concern. The party prioritized ending the present crisis among other promises made in the manifesto.

Meghachandra stated that the manifesto called for several actions to be taken to resolve Manipur's crisis, such as dissolving the current state administration and establishing a Reconciliation Commission to promote harmony and peace among diverse groups.

In addition, the party would guarantee compensation to victims who were forced to flee their homes and would suggest that volunteers who defended villages during the crisis be included in the state's armed forces. The party has promised to establish an inquiry commission to determine the negative losses caused by the crisis.

Meghachandra attacked the BJP government at both the state and federal levels, claiming that the state's citizens have been suffering as a result of the government's complete negligence. The time has come for every state resident to understand the way the state's central government is handling its citizens. The people can hold the BJP government responsible and effect constructive change in the state by coming to this realization.

He claimed that money was being distributed to voters on a large scale and that a large group of people, especially women, were gathering near the chief minister's house these days. It seems questionable why there was a gathering in front of CM's bungalow during election season.

A complaint was made with the Election Commission by the INDIA Bloc, a group of ten political parties that shared similar views, regarding the alleged violations of the model code of conduct. Unfortunately, no action has been taken.

He said, "Just a few months back women of state have launched various forms of movement expressing strong condemnation in connection with the ongoing crisis. Those women even questioned where all the ministers and MLAs had gone for not addressing the conflict. Congress party believe that those women will stand for truth and give a positive vote without any influence of money power."

He said that the Congress party had selected youthful, vibrant candidates from the public to run for the Manipur Parliamentary Constituency's inner and outer seats. These candidates would be able to speak up for the state on the floor of parliament. Therefore, this election will serve as a measure of how carefully and sensibly people use their right to vote.

According to the Congress Manifesto, which was unveiled today, the BJP/NDA government's callous disregard is to blame for Manipur's situation getting worse. Congress will immediately remove the current state government and heal gaps between the communities. A Reconciliation Commission will be appointed by the party to mediate a political and administrative settlement that will meet the needs of all parties.
