Digital Desk: Nambie Jessica Marak of Meghalaya has been successful in securing a spot in the top 12 in MasterChef India 2023.

Nambie, best known for the YouTube channel "Eat Your Kappa," which features recipes and cultural content from the Northeast, is now also known quite well on the national culinary stage.

The foundation of Nambie's culinary adventure is "Kappa," a Garo cooking technique recognized for its unique flavors.

After moving to Chennai to pursue her higher education and fulfill her job responsibilities she missed the flavors of the northeast, which had played such a significant role in her childhood.

Marak announced the news on social media, writing, "Embracing my roots, I'm cooking up dreams. Being a tribal chef makes me feel incredibly proud."
