Digital Desk: Following secret information about the presence of numerous Bangladeshi nationals near a small tea garden at Sabroom in Tripura, which is close to the India-Bangladesh border, the Sabroom Police Station authorities acted quickly on Wednesday.
Sub-Inspector Dhruba Majumdar and an undercover police team initiated an underground operation to capture the suspects as soon as they received the intelligence. The perpetrators' attempt to evade the police led to a frantic chase that extended deep into the tea garden.
Law enforcement was able to apprehend six Bangladeshi youths after a long chase who were recognised as Chittagong locals. They were transported to Sabroom police station for further investigation.
The ongoing investigation aims to find the reasons for the border crossing and entry into India, according to the authorities.
This occurrence raises questions about the effectiveness of border security measures, notably the vigilance of the 109th and 96th Border Security Force (BSF) battalions in the Sabroom division.
The Sabroom Police Station is still committed to dealing with problems related to the presence of Bangladeshi nationals.
