Digital Desk: Amit Shah is currently on a visit to Manipur, and his address seemed fierce, where he gave big promises like an Inner Line Permit. However, ABP News has reported that many women came out of their houses to stop people from attending Shah’s meetings in Manipur. The reports suggest that the women blocked the road by burning tyres to stop people from getting to the venue.

Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah, currently in Imphal, Manipur, to bolster the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emphasised that the forthcoming polls do not pit the BJP against Congress. Instead, they represent a choice between those seeking to sow division and unrest in the violence-stricken state and the BJP, committed to its protection.

Speaking at a public rally in Imphal, Shah underscored, "Our foremost commitment is to safeguard Manipur from fracturing, regardless of any attempts."

Shah's visit to Manipur marks his inaugural trip to the state this year, following his brief visit last year amidst ethnic turmoil.

He urged the electorate to reinstate Narendra Modi as India's Prime Minister in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, highlighting Modi's track record of fostering prosperity and security in India, particularly in the Northeast, historically afflicted by extremism and naxalism.

Critiquing the Congress party, Shah accused it of consistently aligning with divisive elements, labelling them as the 'tukde tukde' gang.

Asserting the BJP's efforts in curbing corruption in Manipur, Shah emphasised PM Modi's commitment to preserving peace in the state.

Shah raised concerns about attempts to alter Manipur's demographic composition through infiltration, stressing the pivotal role of Manipur's stability in shaping the nation's destiny.

He disclosed a significant demand made by Manipur's CM Biren Singh to PM Modi, emphasizing the necessity of an inner-line permit to safeguard Manipur's unity. Shah highlighted the BJP's fulfilment of this demand, strengthening Manipur's integrity.
