"BJP Trying To Kill Me", Says AAP leader After Violence At His Home

BJP leaders have accused Mr Kejriwal of mocking the "genocide" of Kashmiri Hindus.

Digital Desk: There was a clash between BJP workers and police outside the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today, protesting against the Chief Minister's comments on the controversial movie 'The Kashmir Files'.

Kejriwal's critics accuse him of mocking the "genocide" of Kashmiri Hindus depicted in the film. In a statement to the media shortly after the attack, AAP senior leader Manish Sisodia alleged that the BJP is obsessed with "killing" Mr Kejriwal since they can't defeat him electorally.

He added that politics is just an excuse and this is a clear criminal case.

"Today, BJP's goons reached Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's house in the presence of the police. They aren't able to defeat him in elections so they want to kill him," he said.

Leading members of the Aam Aadmi Party have claimed that the police allowed BJP leaders and workers access to the Chief Minister's residence.

The barricade was seen teeming with protestors carrying BJP flags and placards condemning "insults" to Kashmiri Pandits.

According to Mr. Sisodia, elements of antisocial nature smashed the security barriers at Mr. Kejriwal's house, as well as the CCTV cameras. Additionally, the boom barrier at the entrance was destroyed. He also claimed that Delhi police assisted "BJP goons" in perpetrating the crime.
