    1st IAF flight carrying 200 Indians from Romania to reach Delhi tonight

    Under the Centre's Operation Ganga program, the Indian Air Force's military transport aircraft C-17 Globemaster departed for Romania at 4 am on Wednesday morning.


    Digital Desk: The first C-17 aircraft carrying 200 Indians evacuated from Ukraine via Romania will arrive in New Delhi at 1.30 am tonight, the ministry of external affairs announced.

    "The first C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force has joined Operation Ganga with a flight from Romania's Bucharest expected to return to Delhi later tonight. MEA spokesman Arindam Bagchi said today's IAF flights will be from Budapest (Hungary), Bucharest (Romania), and Rzeszow (Poland).

    Approximately 3,352 Indians have been taken home by 15 flights, according to the MEA spokesperson.
