    85 Indian Nationals Evacuated from Afghanistan by the IAF

    Kabul: 85 Indian nationals in Afghanistan got evacuated from Kabul in an Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130J transport aircraft. The Indian government has been making efforts, to bring back all the Indian citizens safely from Kabul as the Taliban took over the capital.





    “An Indian Air Force C-130J transport aircraft took off from Kabul with over 85 Indians. The aircraft landed in Tajikistan for refueling. Indian government officials are helping in the evacuation of Indian citizens on the ground in Kabul,” sources.





    India had earlier picked up its staff from Kandahar after the town was about to be taken over by the Taliban terrorists. The Indian officials from the Kandahar had later shifted to the Kabul embassy and were working from there, sources.





    After getting clearance from the US forces at the airport, the Indian Air Force, operated two sorties of the C-17 Globemaster to bring back around 180 officials, ITBP staff, and a few journalist, after the capture of the capital Kabul by the Taliban.





    The Indian Air Force has already evacuated about 180 Indian passengers.
