'Huge embarrassment': Rijiju hits back at Rahul Gandhi with pictures of ‘secured’ Tawang
The former head of the Congress claimed on Friday that China is getting ready for conflict while the Indian administration is dozing off and attempting to downplay the threat.

Digital Desk: The Union Minister for Law and Justice on Saturday, Kiren Rijiju said that the Yangtse region in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, is "completely secured now due to adequate deployment of the courageous jawans of the Indian Army."

Along with showing the Army officers a photo of himself, the law minister did so as well.

Just a few hours before arriving in Yangtse, the minister tweeted a video of some villagers criticising Congressman Rahul Gandhi's remarks over the recent India-China conflict in Tawang.

The former head of the Congress claimed on Friday that China is getting ready for conflict while the Indian administration is dozing off and attempting to downplay the threat.

“Rahul Gandhi is harming the nation's image in addition to denigrating the Indian Army. In addition to becoming a headache for the Congress Party, he has become a major source of shame for the nation. Our military is something we are proud of," Rijiju wrote in a post sharing the video.

In the Tawang region of Arunachal Pradesh, on December 9, sources reported fighting between Indian and Chinese soldiers along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Indian troops successfully resisted the Chinese PLA soldiers' attempts to overthrow an Indian station in the area by preventing them from entering the area.

According to the sources, there were only minor injuries on both sides of the conflict, and at least six Indian soldiers suffered wounds. They were flown to the 151 Base Hospital in Basistha, Guwahati, for medical attention.
