Raids on properties linked to Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi in the 2017 IRCTC case

Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, along with Tejashwi Prasad Yadav's homes, were raided by teams of the CBI in connection with the IRCTC case of 2017.

Digital Desk: Ray of light flashed by the Central Investigation team in the 2017 IRCTC case, CBI teams, began raiding the homes of former Bihar chief ministers Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, as well as the home of the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, in Patna, Gopalganj, Delhi, and other locations.

Reportedly, during his time as Union Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad was accused of selling jobs in exchange for land plots.

CBI teams have begun raids at Rabri Devi's Patna apartment at 10 Circular Road. The teams inspected three more locations in Patna where the family owns plots or residences.

Meanwhile, these locations are near Phuleari Sharif, Danapur Khatal (cowshed), and Marachhiya Devi residences in Ranjan Path's Mahuabagh neighbourhood.

Raids are also being carried out in Lalu Prasad's Gopalganj home, as well as in Gurgaon and Delhi, as well as other sites where the CBI suspects the family has property.

While Lalu Prasad is recovering in Delhi, Tejashwi is in London, and Rabri Devi is in Patna.

The raids were termed "political vendetta of the worst kind" by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

"We have been stating it right from the start," senior RJD leader Shakti Singh Yadav remarked. It's the worst kind of political vendetta. The BJP is targeting regional parties."

"The timing of the raids smacks of political vendetta," RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tewari stated. The BJP employs such measures whenever the RJD and JD (U) appear to be growing closer."

"Law has been taking its own course, and the CBI has been doing its duty," BJP national spokesperson and Bihar industries minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said.

Ashok Kumar Choudhary, a senior JD (U) lawmaker and building construction minister, took a cautious stance. "The CBI has performed admirably. He added, "Let us not read politics into it."
