    "Pradip Roy made an effort to disturb brotherhood between Assamese and Bengali people": Gautam Roy

    Guwahati: A veteran politician of Assam, Gautam Roy, made his remarks upon Pradip Dutta Roy. Several organizations and individuals alleged Dutta for dishonoring the Assamese language by pasting black ink on a government banner.





    Gautam Roy shared his opinions while addressing a press conference in Hailakandi District Sports Association on Sunday.





    BJP member Gautam Roy stated that the citizens of Assam have no adverse attitude against the Bengali-speaking people of Barak. Therefore, being a Bengali, he served as the President of the Assam Cricket Association.

    Moreover, he has also pointed out his comments on Pradip Dutta Roy. Gautam Roy expressed his concerns stating people like Pradip Dutta can disturb the sense of brotherhood between community members. 





    According to sources, an FIR was filed at the Silchar Sadar Police station with charges against Pradip Roy to disrupt order and peace among communities and hurt sentiments.





    Dutta will be under police custody till December 10, 2021. Dutta was presented before the court on Saturday night as well.
