    Assam saw the largest daily increase in COVID-19 cases in almost five months as
    273 more persons tested positive in the past day.

    noted a new coronavirus-related fatality.



    color:black;mso-themecolor:text1">The number of cases in the state has
    increased to 7,25,950 as a result of a COVID-19 case surge that began in
    mid-June following a four-month lull.

    nearly five months, the 200-mark for daily infections was broken on July 6 when
    210 cases were found, with a positive rate of 10.14 percent.

    cases, with a positive rate of up to 11.15 percent.

    cases on the previous day were found in 2,631 of the analysed samples.

    district, which mostly includes Guwahati city, recorded the largest number of
    recent illnesses.

    17 instances, Dibrugarh 24 cases, and Kamrup (Rural) 46.



    With
    the addition of the lone victim from the Kamrup Metropolitan district, there
    have now been 6,640 fatalities. Since 2020, 1,347 additional patients have
    passed away for unrelated causes.

    successfully treated for the infection, bringing the overall number of
    recoveries to 7,16,823 and the discharge rate to 98.74%.

    examined for infection thus far.

    vaccination have been given throughout the state. 2.45 billion first doses,
