They further expressed profound shock over the incident, asserting that the girls had not endured any form of mental distress or pressure that might have driven them to such an extreme act.
The school authorities wish for the speedy recovery of the two students who are undergoing treatment.
It is to be noted that in Assam’s Baksa district, three minor school students reportedly consumed ‘chowmein’ after deliberately lacing it with poison, resulting in the death of one girl and the hospitalization of the other two.
The incident occurred on December 8th, when the three girls, who are estimated to be between the ages of 13 and 14, reportedly wrote inappropriate content on the whiteboard of an after-school tutoring facility.
When a classmate revealed their identities the next day for the inappropriate writings, the instructor called them in. The girls were then allegedly reprimanded for what they had done.
In reaction, the three went to a nearby fast-food restaurant in Kalpani bazaar, where they deliberately mixed poison into their "chowmein" and consumed it.
