    Assam CM Hands over Appointment Letters to Medal Winners of 36th National Games 2022

    The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to encouraging and supporting athletes by providing them with job options that recognize their talent and hard work.

    extended deep thanks on Sunday to the state's extraordinary athletes who gave
    honour to the state by obtaining significant positions in the 36th National
    Games held in Gujarat in 2022. 



    The
    Chief Minister further thanked the athletes for their outstanding performance
    and effort.



    During
    the occasion, nine exceptional Assamese athletes were presented with
    recruitment letters for government posts, as promised by the CM on September
    23, 2022.



    "Today
    I had the pleasure of handing over appointment letters to medal winners of the
    2022 National Games," the Chief Minister wrote in a tweet. All the best to
    Ananya Saikia, Adnita Kakati, Ankushita Boro, Sanma Brahma, Rongila Daimary,
    Bikram Changmai, Dipankar Sarmah, Bangita Hazarika, and Ananda Narzary!"



    The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to encouraging and
    supporting athletes by providing them with job options that recognize their
    talent and hard work.



    Among the remarkable accomplishments, the Chief Minister recognized
    seven climbers, including Bhaskar Baruah and Jayanta Nath, who successfully
    scaled Mount Kangchenjunga.



    To recognize their exceptional achievement, both climbers earned Rs 5
    lakh, while the remaining climbers received Rs 2.5 lakh each. The Chief
    Minister praised their tenacity and fortitude, which served as an inspiration
    to the entire nation.



    The Chief Minister announced a big project to organize five games in
    over 27,000 villages across Assam, emphasizing the state government's priority
    on encouraging sports and nurturing an athletic culture. These games will be
    staged on a state-by-state and district-by-district basis, allowing athletes
    from all around the country to compete.



    This three-month sporting spectacle is set to begin in October and is
    expected to attract a large number of outstanding athletes from across the
    state.



    The Chief Minister emphasized that these measures are part of the
    government's ongoing efforts to build a sports-friendly atmosphere in Assam.



    The administration hopes to foster a generation of dedicated athletes
    who will bring glory to the state on national and worldwide forums by
    recognizing and encouraging excellent athletes.



    The Chief Minister's statements struck a chord with the athletes and the
    assembled crowd, underlining the state's commitment to sports development.
    Assam continues to celebrate its great athletes' accomplishments, the
    government's consistent support and recognition act as a catalyst for their
    future endeavours, inspiring the youth to pursue their goals in the arena of
    sports.
