    Digital Desk: Ahead of the Assam government's fourth anniversary, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced plans to create an additional 50,000 government jobs. 

    In a recent post on X, Sarma outlined that by May 2025, his administration aims to complete recruitment for these positions. This initiative is part of a broader effort to provide government jobs to a total of 150,000 youth with transparency during the government's current term.

    Addressing the press, Sarma detailed the government's commitment to boosting employment. "By the time we reach our four-year mark on May 10, 2025, we will have created another 50,000 jobs," he said. The Chief Minister emphasized that his government is working towards reaching the 100,000 job appointments milestone as quickly as possible. "Today, we issued some appointment letters, and we plan to hold another distribution event before August 15," Sarma added.

    The Chief Minister also revealed that the Assam government anticipates issuing 100,000 appointment letters by October-November this year. Following that, an additional 50,000 appointments are planned before May 10 of the following year. Sarma mentioned that the recruitment process is already underway, including an upcoming examination for police services scheduled for October.

    This announcement reflects the government's ongoing commitment to enhancing employment opportunities and supporting the youth of Assam. By accelerating job creation and ensuring transparency, the administration aims to make a significant impact on the state's employment landscape before completing its four-year term.
