CM Sarma will receive the prestigious "Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship" during his visit to Singapore. To accept the honour, the chief minister has been invited to the country.
It should be mentioned that Himanta Biswa Sarma is the first Assam chief minister to have been bestowed the fellowship. He has played a significant role in advancing global peace and development, which has led to his selection for the honour.
Former Vice Chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, former Union Minister Arun Shourie, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are some of the previous Indian recipients of the fellowship.
