    Assam Govt receives 9 world records by the Guinness World Records authorities for Amrit Brikshya Andolan

    Digital Desk: The Guinness World Records officials delivered the awards to the Assam government for the nine (9) world records that the state's citizens achieved as part of the Amrit Brikshya Andolan.

    The event was held today at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Panjabari, Guwahati, Assam, at the Srimanta Sankaradeva International Auditorium.

    Assam CM Himanta during the event stated that the aim of 'Amrit Brikshya Andolan' was to conserve the Forests and also to raise awareness among the general people.

    CM Sarma also stated that Amrit Brikshya Andolan was also organised keeping in mind that, "it would create an economic value after the trees are fully grown up it can be used in multiple way and from that an economic value will be generated and every year more trees will be planted."


    The awards were given for the following records that were created in September this year: 

    1| On (September 9) the longest line of saplings were potted

    2|  Largest number of saplings distributed at one venue in 24 hours on (10th September)

    3| On (September 13-14) Most trees were planted by a team in 24 hours 

    4| Most trees planted by a team in 1 hour (September 15)

     5| Largest potted saplings mosaic record was created on (September 16)

     6| Most people planting trees simultaneously (September 17)

     7| Most viewers of an environmental sustainability lesson livestream on YouTube (September 11)

     8| Largest photo album of people planting trees online on (September 9-17) 

    9| Most pledges received for an environmental sustainability campaign in 1 month (September 9-17)

    Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma graced the event as chief guest, and Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and Environment and Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary were also present.
