    Assam: Guinness World Record Attempt for 'Largest Bihu Dance' Preponed to April 13
    According to CM Sarma, access into the Sarusajai will be free on April 13, but only guests and those holding official permits to the big event will be allowed entry into the stadium on April 14.


    Digital Desk: Assam government a major cabinet decision on Wednesday decided to prepone from April 14 to April 13 the date of the Guinness World Record attempt for the greatest Bihu dance performance in a single frame.

    However, the April 14 mega Bihu event at Sarusajai Stadium will go on as planned.

    Speaking to the media in Guwahati, CM Sarma informed, "The Guinness World Record attempt on the Bihu dance will be held on April 13 from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm, and it will be certified on April 14 in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's presence. I thus invite the people of the state and the city of Guwahati to attend Thursday's massive Bihu dance."

    The state government has set a goal for two world record attempts, one for the largest Bihu dance in a single frame and the other for the largest (Dhuliya) Drummer ensemble, the chief minister added.

    The state government has planned to give Rs 25,000 to each of the Bihu dancers and Dhuliyas (Drummers) as well as the master trainers who would participate in the major Bihu event for the Guinness World Record, according to the chief minister.
