Ranjit Bora, the distributor of Purabi Diary, was fatally shot while his route to a bank in Guwahati to make a deposit.
Digital Desk: Shah Alam Talukdar, the main suspect in the murder of Purabi dairy dealer Ranjit Bora, was killed in an encounter in Sonapur on February 17 after escaping out of police custody.
Upon being transported to the Botahghuli area in Guwahat by the Satgaon Police to conduct a search operation, Talukdar escaped from police custody.
He was handcuffed when he escaped from detention, according to the police. On February 10 earlier, Alam attempted suicide in the Guwahati-based Dispur Police Station's detention center.
The primary suspect in the case is Shah Alam, a local of the Panjabari area where Ranjit Bora, a distributor of Purabi dairy products, was murdered.
According to sources, Shah Alam used the jagged edges of a bucket to try and kill himself. On his wrist, he attempted to sever his nerves.
One of the six defendants in the lawsuit is Shah Alam. Five of the six have already been taken into custody.
