    Digital Desk: A horrifying case of child selling has emerged from Nagaon in Assam, where a lawyer and a notary have been accused, reports emerged on Monday.

    According to initial reports, the suspects are notary official Jury Burhagohain and advocate Rosy Hussain.

    As per sources, the duo purchased the four-month-old child from a woman.

    Moreover, they are said to have made the deal after speaking with a middleman, Rashel Ali.

    Meanwhile, it has come to light that the child's father works outside of Assam in Kerala, while the mother and the child live in Nagaon.

    The District Child Protection Officer at the police station has filed a case in relation to the incident, and an investigation will soon be initiated.
