Assam Police launches official YouTube channel titled 'The Assam Police Channel'
The YouTube channel would serve as an interface to encourage improved communication between people and the Assam Police.

Digital Desk: On Sunday, the Assam Police officially launched its YouTube channel, which is titled "The Assam Police Channel”. At a ceremony held in the Assam Police Headquarters in Guwahati's Ulubari, the channel was officially launched by Assam Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh in the presence of a large gathering of senior officers and their families.

The YouTube channel would serve as an interface to encourage improved communication between people and the Assam Police.

The Assam Police folk orchestra was also introduced at the ceremony, and Lankeswar Kalita, UBC of Jalukbari Outpost, received a commendation silver medal for his brave and selfless action in saving a young boy's life.

DGP GP Singh, who spoke at the event, said that the Assam Police wants to improve its relationship with the citizens of the state and seek to create a community that is safer and more secure.

The Assam Police already have well-known social media handles on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and the gap will be further closed with the establishment of the YouTube channel, according to GP Singh. People will be able to better understand how the police department operates thanks to the Assam Police's YouTube channel and different cultural activities, which were launched along with the folk orchestra.

Senior officers and dignitaries who attended the occasion were Harmeet Singh, Spl. DGP (Administration), Hiren Nath, ADGP (SB), Diganta Barah, Commissioner of Police, Guwahati, and Partha Sarathi Mahanta, DIGP (Admin).
