Assam Police on Wednesday confiscated a significant amount of contraband drugs worth over lakh rupees.
Four more narcotics dealers were detained in Karimganj in two separate investigations.
A total number of 10,000 Yaba tablets and 12.5 kg of ganja were taken in two separate operations by the Assam Police.
The arrested drug traffickers have been identified as Atikur Rahman, Nazrul Islam, Deepak Kumar, and Sahil.
The police claim that the drugs they have seized have a market worth many lakhs of rupees.
Speaking to reporters, Partha Sarathi Mahanta, DIG of STF, disclosed that, based on top-secret information, the Kamrup district police initiated an operation, collected 700 grams of heroin from a car, and detained drug dealers.
It is to be noted that Yaba is a combination of methamphetamine and caffeine.
