Borgohain added that Manash Chaliha typically gets away with it under the open sky because there is no evidence against him...
Digital Desk: Another confession from Manash Borgohain, an alleged Sub Inspector of the Assam Police who is being held at a camp of the banned militant outfit United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-I), claims that the death of renowned bodybuilder of Assam Siddhartha Borgohain in 2023 was not an accident as initially reported, but rather the pre-planned murder by Manash Chaliha.
Renowned bodybuilder Siddhartha Borgohain died in an accident in the Lakhimpur district of Assam on January 3, 2023, as a result of poor visibility brought on by dense fog.
Manash Borgohain, who was reportedly sent by the Assam police to spy at the ULFA-I camp, stated in a recently released video that Siddhartha's death in Lakhimpur on January 3, 2023, was completely a pre-planned murder by Manash Chaliha.
Revealing further details on the suspected murder, Manash Chaliha stated, "You all might remember on January 3, 2o23, an accident took place in Lakhimpur which wasn't an accident. It was entirely a pre-planned murder and his name was Siddhartha Borgohain, a bodybuilder and even the entire Assam knows Siddhartha as an established bodybuilder. However, discussions in relation to some business deals began between Manash Chaliha and Siddhartha Borgohain. Manash Chaliha allegedly took Rs 35 lakhs from Siddhartha Borgohain for some business deal. When nobody extended help nor wished to be associated with Manash Chaliha due to his failing business, then Siddhartha too asked for his money back. Manash Chaliha had a verbal fight with Siddhartha and I was present there at the time of the fight. Manash Chaliha had even threatened Siddhartha with dire consequences following which he killed Siddhartha in an accident. While everyone thought it was an accident, actually it was a pre-planned murder. Not only Siddhartha, but several other youths including women have been victims of Manash Chaliha's cruel intentions and criminal activities".
Borgohain added that Manash Chaliha typically gets away with it under the open sky because there is no evidence against him. "This murder is an open secret. Manash Chaliha was afraid, thus this was kept a secret. Manash Chaliha sets up a trap. He uses several fictitious Facebook profiles to make demands for money while posing as ULFA-I. He inserts 'Axom' after every name, fooling people into believing it is a real ULFA-I Facebook account,” added Borgohain.
Additionally, Borgohain claimed in the video that Chaliha, who goes by the name "Piggy Bank," first sets up a trap by making fictitious Facebook profiles and stealing money under the ULFA-I identity. His common tactic is to pose as a member of ULFA-I and trick young men and women into joining the group. He then informs the police, who then detain the innocent teenagers.
For those who don't know, on January 28, the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I), a banned militant group, released a confessional video involving Manash Borgohain, one of its members who is allegedly a spy.
Manash Borgohain, also known as Mukut Axom, was to be arrested by ULFA-I leaders for 'breaching' the organization's Constitution, according to a video posted on YouTube.
After being apprehended, Mukut Axom admitted via video message that he had been sent by the state government of Assam to spy on ULFA-I. He disclosed that he has been employed by the Assam Police Special Branch since 2021 and that he is part of a mission to keep an eye on the operations of ULFA-I.
