Digital Desk: In a sensational incident, the lifeless body of a student from Assam University, Silchar, was discovered under mysterious circumstances on Friday, as per reports. The incident occurred within the premises of the "Ashiyana" hostel, situated on Panchayat Road in Silchar. 

The deceased student has been identified as Jahid Abbas Tapadar, hailing from the Chargola locality in Karimganj district.

Jahid was reportedly found hanging inside his hostel room on Friday, triggering uproar among hostel occupants. Additionally, the authorities were alerted, and the police were notified.

Upon police arrival, Jahid's body was recovered and transported to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination. 

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the mysterious demise of the student.

Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased have cast suspicions on the nature of Jahid's death, alleging it to be a case of murder rather than suicide. They are fervently urging for justice and a thorough inquiry into the incident.

Notably, Jahid was a second-semester BA LLB student at Assam University, where he resided in the hostel while pursuing his studies. 

The tragic incident has cast a shadow of sorrow and disbelief over the university community as investigations unfold to unravel the truth behind Jahid's untimely demise.
