The woman identified as Veena Gogoi was viciously attacked by her son, who callously set her ablaze, resulting in her untimely demise.

Digital Desk: A day before Mother's Day, a spine-chilling incident was reported from Samaguri in Sivasagar on Saturday, where a woman was brutally murdered by her son. 

The woman identified as Veena Gogoi was viciously attacked by her son, who callously set her ablaze, resulting in her untimely demise.

The perpetrator, namely Manash Gogoi, was apprehended by the police.

In addition, investigations showed that the woman had suffered from her son's long-term abuse and mistreatment before the fatal incident.
