CCTV surveillance was installed in two stages. In the first phase, 100 police stations had been fitted with CCTV cameras, followed by an additional 227 stations in the second phase. The remaining five police stations' CCTV installations are expected to be completed in the next few days.

The installation of these cutting-edge surveillance devices is supposed to offer a full record of actions within police stations. A centralized main server will be set up at the police headquarters in order to effective monitoring and control the CCTV footage.

The move towards broad surveillance in police stations is intended to boost public trust in the criminal justice system. It is intended that the availability of detailed and verifiable footage would not only ensure responsibility, but will also serve as a significant resource for investigations, evidence collection, and training purposes.
