    Assam registered 1 covid-19 case in the last 24 hours

    Assam News: There are currently 18 active cases in the state.


    Digital Desk: The number of new Covid-19 cases in Assam has decreased, with only one new case registered in the last 24 hours, according to an official bulletin report.  

    Reportedly, the positivity rate dropped from 0.12 percent on Monday to 0.7 percent on Tuesday. On Sunday, the positive rate was 1per cent.

    On Monday, the state reported two additional Covid-19 cases, and on Sunday, four new cases.

    There are currently 18 active cases in the state.

    On Tuesday, a single Covid-19 new case was reported from Kamrup (Rural) district.

    With this, the overall number of Covid-19 cases in Assam has risen to 7,24,193.

    On the other hand, a total of 7,16,189 patients has been recovered from the deadly disease, with one recovery reported in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s recovery rate stands at 98.89 percent.

    Covid-19 has claimed the lives of 6,639 people in Assam so far, with no fatalities reported in the last 24 hours.

    In the North-East state, a total of 2,83,44,362 Covid-19 tests were done, with 1,528 tests done in the last 24 hours.

    Meanwhile, the first dosage of the Covid-19 vaccination was given to 2,34,87,863 people, and the second dose was given to 2,00,39,201 people.

    In addition, the vaccination has been provided to 4,331 children aged 15-17 years and 20,836 children aged 12-14 years so far.
