CM Himanta Biswa Sarma bashes 'coward' Arvind Kejriwal's Tea Invitation; quotes 'Aurangzeb was not guest in Assam...'
The tussle between Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal raged on...

Digital Desk: Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, has accepted his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal's invitation to tea and lunch at his residence in the national capital. He referred to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chairman as a "coward" whose heroism is limited to the assembly.

In response to Kejriwal's tea invitation, Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, "We treat our guests as God. But when Aurangzeb came to Assam, Lachit Barphukan did not provide him with any hospitality. Now, when you come to Assam to lie, why should we consider you guests? Still, I provided you with security, which you don't do. I tweeted several times during Covid, but you did not reply. Please leave us alone. We don't need to be aam aadmi, we will remain khaas aadmi."

"Assam is on the road to development. We don't need aam aadmi for that; we can undertake progress as khaas aadmi. I shall represent 3.5 crore individuals who are khas aadami "he claimed in a Twitter video message. I would bring 50 people from Assam, largely journalists, and Kejriwal has to take them around Delhi," Sarma stated in response to his Delhi counterpart's invitation to visit his house in the national capital.

The only condition is that they be taken to locations we want to see, not places he wants us to see. 60 per cent of the people of Delhi live in hell. In contrast, 95 per cent of Assam lives in heaven,” Sarma further added.

In a jab at the AAP president, Himanta remarked, "Kejriwal's heroism is confined within the assembly since he is shielded by privilege there."

At his first political rally in Assam, Kejriwal criticised Himanta Biswa Sarma for his warning on a remark made within the Delhi Assembly, saying open threats are unfit for a chief minister.

"Is there an FIR or a case against me elsewhere in the country? I wanted to sue him, but he talked in the assembly like a coward "Assam's Chief Minister stated.

Kejriwal allegedly stated in the Delhi Assembly that there are cases against Himanta.

Himanta Sarma slammed Kejriwal, saying, "He levelled claims of corruption against me in the Delhi Assembly, but I cannot act on it since he is shielded by regulations. I challenged him to make the same claims outside the House, and then I'll see him in court."

War of words; Kejriwal's jibe at Himanta Biswa Sarma

"Why is Himanta Biswa Sarma threatening me with imprisonmentPra if I come to Assam?" said the AAP supremo, even as he spoke eloquently about the people of Assam for their kindness.

"I urge Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to properly study Assamese tradition and culture," the Delhi CM advised his Assam counterpart.

"Himanta Babu has been threatening me for 2 days that he will put me in jail. Am I a terrorist? Himanta became the Chief Minister but could not learn the culture of Assam. The people of Assam are very loving and nice, they do not threaten anyone to send them to jail," In response to Sarma's remarks, Kejriwal stated after landing at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport.

Kejriwal also promised free energy and jobs if the AAP was elected in Assam while accusing the ruling BJP of nothing but "dirty politics" in the state.
