    CM Sarma inaugurates Amrit Kanon Park to mark India's 75 years of independence 
    Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma (CM Sarma) inaugurated the Amrit Kanon Park in Nagaon today. The park has been built to celebrate the 75 years of India's Independence. 

    Assam chief minister has informed this great news of park through his Twitter handle. CM Sarma tweeted, "Glad to open Amrit Kanon Park built by Nagaon Municipality Board to commemorate 75 years of India's Independence."

    CM Sarma further informed that the park was built by the Nagaon Municipality Board. The park's construction cost Rs 31 lakh, covering the space of 428-sq.m.

    Along with Assam chief minister Sarma, Nagaon MLA Shri Rupak Sarma was also present at the inauguration event for the Park.

    Besides, chief minister Sarma also inaugurated the Nagaon-Haibargaon bridge near Nagaon Circuit House. The bridge was built under NABARD-RIDF-XXIV & 'Mahavir Lachit Chilarai Setu Nirman Abhijan'. 

    The 118.84-m bridge over the Kolong river cost Rs 12.35 cr will significantly improve communication in the region.
