Digital Desk: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city of Guwahati and its neighbouring areas will likely see dry weather conditions for a few days with daytime highs of (4-6)°C.

However, isolated pockets of light rain are expected as well in Assam and other Northeastern states.

According to information from the IMD, light to moderate rain fell in a few spots over Mizoram in the past 24 hours. Light rain also fell in a few spots across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland. Manipur and Tripura experienced dry weather. While daytime temperatures in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura didn't change significantly over the past 24 hours, they did rise noticeably in Manipur and significantly in Meghalaya.

Over the past 24 hours, those were noticeably above normal over Manipur, noticeably above normal over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Tripura, and above normal over Meghalaya.

According to IMD forecasts, the highest temperature in Guwahati City on Wednesday was 37°C, which is significantly higher than average (5.1°C), while the minimum temperature is expected to stay at 24.5°C (0.4 C above average).
