Digital Desk: An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 hit Arunachal Pradesh's West Siang district on Thursday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology.
The earthquake hit the area at 10.31 a.m. at a depth of 10 km, as per the report.
West Siang’s District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO) Nima Dorjee said that no property damage or deaths had been reported as of yet.
The tremors were felt throughout the state, according to District Information and Public Relations Officer D Angu.
Notably, this comes just one day after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck Doti, Nepal, killing at least six people and demolishing many houses. The quake sent tremors rippling across parts of the country and North India, jolting people out of their sleep in scores of cities and villages.
