Digital Desk: The northeastern State of Meghalaya was struck by an earthquake on Sunday with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter Scale.
The earthquake had its epicentre in the West Khasi Hills of the state, according to the National Centre for Seismology.
At a depth of 10 km, the earthquake occurred at approximately 2.58 pm.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 28-05-2023, 14:58:46 IST, Lat: 25.66 & Long: 91.58, Depth: 10 Km , Region: West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, India,” said the tweet from NCS informing users of the earthquake.
Some areas of Assam, including Guwahati, allegedly felt the tremors.
However, there were no initial reports of any injuries or property damage.
