According to authorities, a police team arrived in Ahmedpur village in Bihpuria on Wednesday to apprehend Saddam Hussain, a drug trader.

However, after apprehending the drug trader, unidentified miscreants started a physical attack on the police officers, forcing Hussain to be released.

Several police officers were hurt during the incident, and Saddam's pregnant wife, Wahida Begum, was also injured.

Detainees have been held separately at police stations at Bangalmara, Bihpuria, Dhalpur, Naobaicha, and Laluk.

Following this, a large team of police officers launched an operation in the area where the jawans were attacked this morning, led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Anand Mishra, in search of the attackers and Saddam Hussain, and detained up to 50 people in connection with the matter.
