Reportedly, over 18,000 people are still struggling because of the flooding with almost 48 villages basking in floodwaters.
In Dhemaji, Assam, the floodwaters have drowned about 530.07 hectares of crops.
Furthermore, the water levels of many rivers and tributaries of the Brahmaputra River are rising.
As a result, floodwaters submerged several settlements along the riverbanks.
Notably, Assam's Dhemaji area has had significant rainfall during the past few days.
Numerous communities, including Jamuguri, Siyari, Uluwani, and Tatiguri, have been affected by the Dikari River's floodwaters, along with many others.
The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) reports that floods are still having an impact on close to 30,000 people in six districts of the state.
Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Charaideo, Jorhat, Karimganj, Kamrup, and Biswanath Subdivision are the Assam districts that have been impacted by the floodwaters.
