Digital Desk: Brindaban Goswami, a senior Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) leader and former state education minister, was rushed to a Health City Hospital in Khanapara for cardiovascular difficulties.

PRO Health City Hospital told Pratidin Time, "Goswami was admitted last night due to cardiovascular complications, but he was reported to be stable and out of danger." He'll be released today after completing the appropriate procedures."

It should be noted that Goswami and his wife tested positive for COVID-19 in September 2020.

The former AGP minister and his wife, Labanya Goswami, were then taken to Guwahati.

Brindaban Goswami was a student leader who rose to prominence during the Assam Agitation.

He was a member of the Natun Asom Gana Parishad (NAGP), which was created as a result of disagreements with Assam's then-chief minister, Prafulla Kumar Mahanta. He was also the President of the Asom Gana Parishad for a short time.

Goswami was nominated Asom Gana Parishad's chief ministerial candidate in the 2006 Assam Legislative Assembly election. He has also served in the Legislative Assembly five times from the Tezpur constituency.
