Digital Desk: Guwahati, also known as the Gateway to Northeast India, is a major cultural, political, educational, and commercial centre. It is noted for its rich culture and tradition, the celebration of festivals, cuisine, and people, and its global nature.
Delegates from G20 member countries, guest countries, and other international organisations would attend the SAI G20 event.
Australia, Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Oman, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the UAE will be represented in person.
The CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General of India) proposed the collaboration of the SAI G20 Engagement Group on two observation areas — Blue Economy and Responsible Artificial Intelligence — under the guiding principle for India's G20 presidency, 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam,' i.e. "One Earth, One Family, and One Future" (AI).
The 'Blue Economy' is the sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and job creation while protecting our ecosystem's health. 'Responsible AI,' on the other hand, is a governance framework aiming at what data can be collected and used, how AI models should be evaluated, and how to effectively deploy and monitor models. The framework can also specify who is responsible for any unfavourable AI outcomes.
Following this, during the SOM meeting in Guwahati, SAI India will present and introduce the concept topics of Blue Economy and Responsible AI, respectively. The participant SAIs, including G20 members and guest SAIs, will share their experiences further.
