Digital Desk: Guwahati's waste management system received a significant boost with the launch of 62 new vehicles by the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) at the Janxala Branch in the Basistha area.
Valued at Rs 13 crore, the inauguration ceremony, graced by GMC Mayor Mrigen Sarania, launched 60 electronic vans capable of transporting both dry and wet waste, along with two super cleaner vehicles each priced at approximately Rs 3 crore.
While speaking to the media, Mrigen Sarania emphasized the importance of these super cleaner vehicles in improving garbage removal and street cleaning efforts, ultimately aiming to enhance sanitation and cleanliness across the city.
