    Digital Desk: The Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) reportedly, has detected a dramatic increase in Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).


    According to data provided by GMCH officials, This year, a total of 30 cases had been identified. Earlier in 2022, up to 75 cases had been recorded in the hospital.


    Acute Encephalitis Syndrome is a serious neurological disorder that involves inflammation of the brain, resulting in symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, confusion, and, in extreme cases, convulsions and coma.
