The current Guwahati Police Commissioner, IPS Harmeet Singh, has been transferred and assigned to the position of Special Director General of Police (Administration), Ulubari.
Digital Desk: Guwahati Police Commissioner IPS Diganta Borah was nominated by the Assam Government on Tuesday, taking the place of IPS Harmeet Singh in a modest reorganisation of the police force.
The current Guwahati Police Commissioner, IPS Harmeet Singh, has been transferred and assigned to the position of Special Director General of Police (Administration), Ulubari.
In the interest of public service, Shri Harmeet Singh, IPS (RR-1992), Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Guwahati, is transferred and assigned as Special Director General of Police (Administration), Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati, effective on the date of taking over responsibility.
• With effect from the date of taking over control in place of Harmeet Singh, IPS, Shri Diganta Borah, IPS (RR-2004), Commissioner & Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Home & Political and Information & Public Relations Departments is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Guwahati.
• In the interest of the public good, Shri Pabindra Kr. Nath, APS, has been replaced as Superintendent of Police in Nalbari by Shri Sudhakar Singh, APS (DR-1995), Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati.
• With effect from the date of taking over command to fill the vacancy, Shri Pabindra Kr. Nath, APS (DR-1997), Superintendent of Police, Nalbari, is transferred and placed as Commandant, 2nd AFPD Bn., Sekoni, Jakhalabandha, Nagaon.
• With effect from the date of taking over control in place of Shri Sudhakar Singh, APS transferred, Shri Surjeet Singh Panesar, APS (DR-2004), Commandant, 1st APBn., Ligiripukhuri, Sivasagar, is transferred and assigned as Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati.
