    Digital Desk: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) summoned the Controller of Examination of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) in connection with the paper leak episode for the General Science subject of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination.


    SEBA Examination Controller Nayan Jyoti Sarma and Chief Controller Jimli Kakoty Saikia have been summoned by the CID.


    The two officers have arrived at the CID office in Ulubari, Guwahati.


    Meanwhile, the CID has allegedly taken three people into custody for questioning in connection with the paper leak case. Herambo Kumar Das, Bindeshwar Tumung, and Jyotirekha Borgohain have been identified as the detained individuals. Two of the suspects are teachers, and one is a driver.


    SEBA reportedly chose to cancel the General Science exam at the last moment on Sunday after the question paper was allegedly leaked on social media. Earlier, the HSLC English exam had been called off. According to a SEBA notice, the exam for English subject has been canceled in one of the centers in the Cachar district. 


    The cancelled HSLC General Science examination will now be conducted on March 30 from 9 a.m. onward in all the centers of the state. State education minister Ranoj Pegu shared a notification of the announcement on his official Twitter handle.


    Meanwhile, the English examination that was cancelled at JR Higher Secondary School in Ganirgram in the Cachar district will take place on March 28.
