Digital Desk: Seven students from the Srimanta Sankar Mission Blind School in Barhampur in Assam's Nagaon district brought glory to the school by securing exceptional marks in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) class 10 examinations.
Seven students appeared for the HSLC exam 2023. Despite physical difficulties, Bindu Gowala, Rijumoni Ali, Biman Patar, Junmoni Saikia, Doibaki Kisku, and Ekadashi Mandal received first division with letter marks in English subject. On the other hand, another student named Bhaskarjyoti Sharma secured first division.
According to reports, the students did not have the necessary study materials to study for the examinations. They used to listen to the study material recordings. In this way, they welcomed the challenge and progressed towards their goals.
Through their achievements, these students have brought honour to the entire Barhampur region. After the results were released today, all students, teachers, and locals in the area were overjoyed.
Notably, male candidates received a total pass percentage of 74.71 percent, while female candidates received a total pass percentage of 70.96 percent across Assam in the HSLC 2023 examination results announced on Monday.
Meanwhile, candidates from Scheduled Tribes-Plains have performed brilliantly, with a pass percentage of 75.69 percent. A total of 58,332 candidates from the ST(P) category appeared for the HSLC exam.
