Happy Rongali Bihu 2023: Assamese New Year Wishes, Images & Greetings
The Bohag Bihu, which is the most significant Bihu for the community, signals the start of the planting season.

Digital Desk: The Assamese community holds three Bihu festivals each year to mark a different phase in the farming calendar. Rongaali Bihu, which usually falls in April and welcomes the Assamese New Year, is currently in progress.

The Bohag Bihu, which is the most significant Bihu for the community, signals the start of the planting season. The seven-day celebration starts on April 14 and lasts throughout that period.

Kati Bihu and Magh Bihu are the other two bihu's. October is when Kati Bihu, also known as Kongaali Bihu, is observed as the conclusion of the sowing and transplantation of saplings (also known as "Kothia"). Magh Bihu or Bhogaali Bihu is celebrated in January/February and marks the end of the harvesting season.
Here are some heartfelt greetings you can send to your loved ones on this special day.
