On Thursday, delegates will be greeted with colourful lights and flowers. The entire route from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport to the city has been swept clean.
Guwahati will host four meetings, with Dibrugarh hosting one.
Pallav Gopal Jha, the deputy commissioner of Kamrup (Metro), stated that preparations for the event are in full swing.
Jha also urged residents to join the district administration in keeping the city clean.
In collaboration with the tourism ministry, the airport management association recently organised a one-day awareness-raising programme for taxi drivers operating from the airport.
The drivers were taught the value of good behaviour and other etiquette's when dealing with tourists.
The importance of punctuality, proper attire, and knowledge was among the topics covered in taxi driver training.
All of the flyovers have also been painted, and roundabouts have been illuminated. Cracks have been repaired, and new murals have been painted by artists.
