The Uber driver, identified as Moslem Ali, was brought before the court on Saturday by the Dispur Police Station investigation team after he was arrested and charged with sexually abusing a woman in his taxi in Guwahati, reports emerged on Saturday.

This comes after reports on Friday stating that an Uber cab driver had allegedly sexually abused a woman who was originally from Arunachal Pradesh. The incident occurred the day before.

The alleged culprit was identified as Moslem Ali, a Nagarberra resident. The accuser allegedly fled the scene after committing the crime, the complaint mentioned.

In her complaint, the woman mentioned that the driver pulled over with the intent to refuel. However, he went on to sexually molest her. The complainant continued, "He took advantage of the deserted road at night."
